Maxi Boomerang : 83ft Maxi Ocean Racing Yacht Raced under the name Ondine VII, and achieved great success including 1st place in the World Maxi Series Race, plus races in the USA, Japan and NZ. Boomerang, designed by German Frers, and built in Italy is a sloop design, 83ft in length, 20ft wide, built of high tech Carbon Fibre with a mast extending 110ft above the deck. Up until late 2001 Boomerang was still competing in tough Ocean Races, such as the Auckland to Suva Race. Between November 2001 and May 2002 Boomerang had a new interior fitted for Whitsunday Sailing Tours. |

Boomerang is huge downstairs, some of the many features include headroom throughout higher than 6ft, 3 dining tables, 3 toilets and showers. On deck the boat is really wide, so there's space to chill out. One thing's for sure…. The thoroughbred racing background will ensure a sailing tour aboard Boomerang will be an exciting experience. |

A typical sailing adventure, you can expect to visit Blue Pearl Bay (Hayman Island), Nara Inlet, Mantaray Bay (Hook Island), Cataran Bay (Border Island), Whitehaven Beach, Cid Harbour (Whitsunday Island). When you're not sailing, you will have the opportunity to swim with the tropical fish and snorkel the fascination coral reefs. There's also time to explore the beautiful beaches and islands. Itineraries are flexible to best meet guest needs and prevailing weather conditions. |
